legal list

A legal list is a list of securities legal for fiduciary investments, as compiled and promulgated by a state agency (such as the state banking department) for the use and guidance of fiduciaries, lawyers, trustees, savings banks. Used infrequently now, as most states have adopted either the Prudent Man or Prudent Investor Rules.
