In general, Money Management, also called investment management, is the process of managing money, including banking, investments, budgeting, and taxes. The term is most often used to refer to the sector of finance dealing with institutional clients, including the supervision of mutual, pension, commodity, and hedge funds. Money Managers select, buy, and oversee the performance of an array of investments that may include fixed income securities such as mortgaged-backs, corporate bonds, agency securities, and asset-backed securities or equities, which include small stocks, large caps, and emerging market stocks. In some cases Money Managers may also work as investment advisors to individuals with large stock portfolios.
